MONICA MATHIS – STOWE “WHERE DID WE GO WRONG”

monica-mathis-stowe-where-did-we-go-wrong-265I’ve wanted to be an author since I was a teenager. Always an avid reader, I enjoyed how a well written story can take you on a mini vacation while providing hours of entertainment. I started reading novels to study the art of writing. I wanted the power and ability to make people feel and experience life through my words and stories. My novels describe the drama in relationships among families, lovers, friends, and colleagues. I like to take my readers on a roller-coaster ride of emotions that will make them laugh, cry, gasp, think, and question people and their actions. My first novel, Where Did We Go Wrong? will be released April 2012. This won’t be the last you’ve heard from me. I have a lot of stories inside of me and I’m just getting started.

*WINNER – BEST FEMALE AUTHOR

WAHIDA CLARK  – “PAYBACK AIN’T ENOUGH”

wahida 1Wahida Clark was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. She decided to start writing fiction while incarcerated at a women’s federal camp in Lexington, KY. Her style is street, raw, and she has an imagination that’s in overdrive. When you read her novels they are so real you are convinced of one of three things: that you are inside the book, you know the characters, or you just have to meet them. Her novels include New York Times and Essence Magazine Bestsellers:Thugs And The Women Who Love Them, Every Thug Needs A Lady, Thug Matrimony, Thug Lovin’, Justify My Thug, Payback is A Mutha, Payback With Ya Life, Sleeping With the Enemy and What’s Really Hood.
Wahida now owns and operates the most popular and fastest growing urban independent publishing house in the industry: Wahida Clark Presents Publishing (www.wclarkpublishing.com) in East Orange, New Jersey.

*WINNER – BEST MALE AUTHOR

TREASURE BLUE – “LITTLE BAD GIRL 1 & 2”

TREASURE BLUE LITTLE BAD GIRLMany have called Treasure E. Blue the reincarnated Donald Goines. This prolific author without doubt is one of the most shocking and controversial writers that we have seen in decades. Blue’s background is as almost as compelling as his mouth-dropping debut novel entitled “Harlem Girl Lost”. Using the streets as a means of survival, he soon found himself involved with some of Harlem’s most notorious elements. Retiring from the game at the tender age of sixteen, Blue, who dropped out of High School after being banned from the entire Board of Education system, in New York City, managed to become one of the youngest people to receive his G.E.D. in New York State. Joining the military at seventeen, he developed a voracious appetite for books going on to read well over 2000 novels. Blue is a father of 4 and won praise for his screenwriting skills. He is also an active member of the American Studies Association. Blue has an uncanny way of not only telling a story, he makes you feel it emotionally as well.

WINNER – BOOK OF THE YEAR

ASHLEY & JAQUAVIS – “THE CARTEL 4”

cartel 4 coverThese two national best-selling authors hit the scene at the ripe age of 17 when New York Times Best-selling author, Carl Weber discovered them.
