DJGBC Interview: Author Braxton Cosby “The Star-Crossed Saga: Protostar”

Jeff “DJGatsby” Wilson Exclusive Interview With The Nephew Of Actor & Comedien Bill Cosby Author Braxton Cosby. While His Latest Book The Star-Crossed Saga: Protostar Is Flying Off The Shelves, He Took Time Out To Give DJGBC This Interview .

DJGBC: Where are you from my brother ?-

originally born in Van Nuys, CA, but lived in Miami, FL. Now live in Atlanta, GA.

DJGBC:Tell DJGBC about your latest project?-

Currently working on a new series about a trio of young men that are recruited by a secret group to protect the innocent and hunt down evil.

DJGBC: Why did you begin writing Science fiction?-

I was “called” to write, one Sunday morning at church. The Bishop was saying that God was speaking to him and wanted someone to do something great, but no one was asking. So I immediately began to pray and ask the Lord what He might have me to do. God told me to write a love story that mixes action elements, and has a Science Fiction back-drop. I envisioned a series and started sketching out the plot line right there in church.

DJGBC: When did you consider yourself a writer? –

once I finished my fist novel. LOL

DJGBC: What inspired y to write your first book ?

I’m a very descriptive writer and I like use books as the canvas that paints the mental picture that I have in my head.

DJGBC: How did you come up with the title The Star-Crossed Saga: Protostar? –

The Star-Crossed Saga: Protostar Two fold: Star-crossing is the process by which these aliens cross over stars and use sophisticated technology to harness the power of the stars themselves to perform space travel. Also, it is the tale of two Star-Crossed lovers that are separated by mor than distance and time, but also by William’s irrevocable duty.

The spiritual undertones are very subtle. But the moral values of accountability for one’s decisions and the importance of love and the power that it has to change lives and even alter the way we thing, feel and act.

DJGBC: How much of the book is realistic? –

Real science is what I used to drive the unique weapons and technology. William’s home planet actually lies in a galaxy that has two real Stars in it; Mira A and B.

DJGBC: What are your current projects? –

New series and beginning to working on comic books that are spin offs from the Star-Crossed Series. Also, I’m hard at work on a graphic novel idea I’m playing with.

DJGBC: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members. –

Twitter, Facebook fans and Book Clubs.

DJGBC: Do you see writing as a career? –

Yes. I feel that God has called me to do this fulltime.

DJGBC: If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book? –

Um, I wished I had waited a little longer to release it. The planning phase of generating “buzz” is huge.

DJGBC: Can you share a little of your current work with us? –

Top Secret. It is being considered by some people now. SSHHHH!

DJGBC: Do you to travel much promoting your book(s)? –

Yes, I’ve done some book signings with my Uncle Bill Cosby and I am currently planning a South East tour next month.

DJGBC: What was the hardest part of writing your book? –

Making time. I live a pretty hectic lifestyle with work, family and taking occasional mental breaks.

DJGBC: Did you learn anything from writing your book ?

It is your baby! Not everyone will like it, but if you stay at it, and believe in the story, some people will appreciate it.

DJGBC: Do you have any advice for other writers? –

pray for the vision, capture it, and stay with it, no matter what.

DJGBC: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers? –

My book is out, please give it a try. I promise that you will not read anything quite like it, ever!

I wanted to create a story that pays homage to old-fashioned pure love. The kind of “high school” love that everyone hopefully experienced at one time or another. The kind of love that inspires people to love and be loved
